Agreed! The Woman Kings’s guild run was horrid.

A24 has a lot of stuff, they'll probably push Zone of Interest too, but I don't think their priorities will be clear untill the fall festivals. They did manage to score above the line noms for 4 films last year though.

Not sure about Greta Lee, Lily and Fantasia will have an easier time getting exposure than her.

Sandra Hüller's role is way too juicy (and she's amazing) and her film will obviously help her a lot, I don't see how she misses the nom at this point. But obviously it's still early!

(1)North America release for Netflix only, never seen Netflix push a NAR beyond GG (2)Netflix has a lot, doubt May December is their 1st or 2nd priority

Idk I don't see what is bigger for them beyond Maestro unless Nyad or Shirley aren't messes.

Didn’t Netflix only buy North American rights because May December already sold to other territories? I’m pretty sure WW wasn’t an option.

I guess this depends of Venice rumors are becoming true or not.

They need a foreign film or Ferrari or something to really compete big this year

I don't think 'The Lost Daughter' was a worldwide release for Netflix. It has multiple distributors listed here:

    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9100054/companycredits/

It's why it got released on Blu-Ray in some countries too.

In Spain for example, had another distributor and a regular cinema distribution

Sandra Huller in Anatomy of a Fall reminds me a bit of Cate Blanchett in Tár last year. Both speak multiple languages. Both films are a bit more cerebral. Both characters are artists in their own right. Both could fill the traditional Alpha role in their family unit. Both fantastic, multi-faceted performances. Also they look kind of similar.
