Could this be an easter egg that the show will continue into a new era/season without Ted Lasso? Maybe it'll be titled "The Richmond Way"?! Apple seems to be teasing a return based on their latest tweet:

Yeah, yesterday's tweet certainly seemed to suggest they're not done with the show yet.
The idea that the show was “never about Ted” (similar to Mary Poppins) is so laughable after last season learning of his immense trauma through therapy. This ending literally only makes sense after season 1.
"It's not about me.It never was".The title of the show is literally Ted Lasso. That being said,it might be interesting to watch another season where there is more focus on Roy and Beard.
Hopefully the players don’t beat the shit out of their opponents w Beard/Roy in charge, considering the we saw the consequence of Ted stepping out of the room for even two seconds and leaving them in charge lol
That and a very promising AFC Richmond Women’s Team angle they could delve into. I don’t think they would have introduced that key plot line in the final minutes if they wanted to end the series indefinitely. Besides, the whole Ted Lasso brand is such a magnet and revenue driver for Apple - I don’t see why they wouldn’t want to milk it whilst it’s still in demand.
Eh, Ted is barely there in most of the eps this season anyway so it’ll totally work. My only hesitation is that they tied up most of the stories already.
After the way they handled S3, particularly the final ep but also most of the season, I'm not too sure I want the show to go on. I'll wait and see. I love these characters (except Nate lol) but I'm really not sure I trust the writers now to not screw it up again.

A focus on the women's team is obv the only path forward. Men can still be in the background; Nate bumbles his way through showing Cecily Strong the facilities without realizing she's the new coach. Jamie dates their new star player and is a real himbo about it at first but ends up their biggest superfan. Colin stumbles through the locker room all wide eyed, "you mean you're ALL GAY!?" It'll be great.
I would watch the spin off about the woman‘s team (Bend it like Beckham is a classic and we need more stuff like that); Roy/Beard spin off, on the other hand

I'd watch it if the focus was on Rebecca & Keely
Roy and Beard are good supporting characters but I struggle to see how would they carry a show on their shoulders.
Nobody likes and wants a Nathan led spin-off. Hard pass .
Considering this is by far Apple’s most successful series awards and viewership wise, it makes perfect sense that they’d want to continue the story in some capacity. I don’t think it would be overkill either since the series only ran 3 seasons, which is still relatively short by comedy standards.
I’d much rather it be centered on Rebecca and Keely and the women’s team though. Beard was already insufferable for me, so I don’t think I’d be able to stomach him in a larger role lol.
I love Ted Lasso but the finale was very good and felt closed. I dunno if I want to keep watching without him.
Well it wouldn't just be a Roy/Beard/Nate-led show if anything, it would be an ensemble with also Keeley, Rebecca, Jamie, Dr. Sharon, the current players, and the new women's team as additions too. That could work.
