Can McDonagh repeat his Billboards win?

Need Banshees to win here to have an inch of excitement in the BP race

"And there on top of his head were faces like she had seen only in a dream, almost too beautiful to be recognized as people at all:
the most beautiful woman and the most beautiful man in the world, she the female version of him, and he the male version of her

I need Banshees to dominate here. It just doesn't feel like a guild film to me and with Top Gun/The Fabelmans struggling recently that leaves the door wide open for an EEAO guild sweep.

Yeah, Farrell/Director/Condon would prob be needed for BP win

Does BAFTA best film actually matter? If anything, winning here has been a bit of a curse recently

Either way, I think Banshees is going to dominate.

Why can’t AQOTWF wins this. It got more noms than 1917. Of course most noms doesn’t mean it wins; Three Billboards won over Shape of Water but AQOTWF didn’t have anything like the awards exposure and expectation of Shape of Water and it’s a foreign language film. 14 nominations is bizarre and totally unexpected and came out of pure love for the film across their membership. Was there even any BAFTA screenings for the film or did it get all these noms simply because thousands of their members watched it on Netflix or the BAFTA portal.

No film has ever won BAFTA best film without a PGA nomination since it expanded its lineup. I just don't see it. High nomination totals don't mean you were the most loved. Banshees basically maximised its nomination total.

Just remembered it can/will win foreign language film. So probably just wins that like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

Will probably end up predicting Banshees but I think EEAAO is being underestimated here.
