Also really wanted to add an Ang Lee film. My choice would be Life of Pi but there's a case to be made for Brokeback Mountain and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

It's the principle, regardless of someone having two Bergman, Scorsese, Rohmer, Rivette, whoever.
