Director: Francis Ford Coppola. He should have received it by now.

Actress: Julia Roberts or Jodie Foster, although I wouldn’t count out Sophia Loren.

Actor: Anthony Hopkins or Gene Hackman. Maybe Tom Cruise.

Itís ridiculous that Coppola hasnít received this, the Cecil B. DeMille, or the Kennedy Center Honors yet.

    Robert Redford is overdue too.

You have to attend the event so Hackman is unlikely.

I heard that Redford has refused it because of Sundance. I don’t know if that’s true.

Yeah the lack of honorary awards for Coppola is puzzling.

You’re right about Hackman but who knows if he’ll be willing.

Cross off Sarandon for political reasons. Redford is unlikely if the feud between AFI and Sundance is ongoing, which makes me doubt the chances of ever receiving the honorary.

Yeah, I heard the same from GDís Chris Beachum years ago.

But Iím wondering if his stance is different now that heís stepped away from Sundance.

They're too basic for Miss Burstyn i'm afraid. A feminist pioneer of the 1970s (a male-predominant decade for actors), the co-president of Actors Studio, a Triple Crown of Acting winner, starred in one of the biggest movie ever in America, now at age 89 and still steadily working. Yet nothing

Joanne Woodward, but she can't attend, so I doubt they will give it to her.
