If only Amazon released Undeground Railroad in June / July / fall last year, maybe it could have a better Emmy fate than it undeservedly had last year!

Anyway, fun category this year I fell like almost all have the same level of buzz (or lack thereof!)

Really weird that Station Eleven just fell off the map. Timely story, great reviews based on an extremely popular book…. At the time it felt like an easy #1 or 2 contender.

I don't think it really fell off the map, I'd say it's in the same position it has been since it aired. Not enough people have probably seen it due to its subject matter, but there may be enough passion for it to sneak in anywhere. I don't really think I ever had it anywhere other than the 6-8 range here.

It should be good for a directing nom at least, since it managed to hit DGA over much more predicted Maid.

Is Inventing Anna the next Emily in Paris? I mean, at the very least people watched Inventing Anna, which isn't true for most of the limited shows in contention.

It's weird that, with so many quality contenders, the Top 5 seems pretty obvious.

Maybe this is a category ripe for a fun surprise.

I wouldn’t it’s an obvious top 5, sure Dropout and Staircase feel safe right now, but they could also severely underperform and only get their leads in (and maybe Andrews too).

I can see The Staircase underwhelming. The Dropout however looks safe to me, maybe even over Maid. I'd rank it as:
