Same 5 as last year with Maya Rudolph and Andy Samberg as the sixth nominee.

They nominated Corden for the flop World's Best so let's get that Emmy nod Kelly Clarkson!

I wonder if the We’re Here queens can make it. They’d be my spoilers versus the repeat five.

I was wondering this too, the show did get in Unstructured Program last time it was eligible and was been quietly racking up nominations at other bodies ever since (TCA, Film Independent, Critics Choice, IDA, it’s so-far only Guild nom for Makeup & Hair).

It’s linear Sunday night HBO so it’s at least some old guard of the academy watching and Shangela is one of those people who has just worked with everybody in the industry so a few namecheck tick offs for the trio wouldn’t be out of question.

And how hysterical/poetic would it be though if the only people to beat RuPaul in six years were alumni from her own show.

This is exactly why they should’ve have an Outstanding Judge category.

The show has a whopping 270 votes on imdb after being released back in December. I think almost anyone that watched this is a Maya stan on AW/GD and family/friends. The Powah if she pulls a nomination

At least with the Poehler/Offerman show, we least knew it was doing well on NBC. Does anyone outside of those 279 IMDb voters even know this show exists?

How long has Probst been submitted again? I knew he quit after he won the first five or whatever and didn’t realize he was eligible again?

ETA: never mind, an article from a few years ago he says he never Unsubmitted they just dropped him. How truly odd.

Also not surprised about Tom and Gail getting dropped, Padma seemed to have even more of the duties than normal this season it felt like Tom and Gail were barely there.

It's weird to only submit Padma after so many years of doing otherwise. I mean, she's obviously the host, while Gail and Tom are strictly judges, but whatever. It's not like only submitting one name increases their odds of winning, at least I don't think so.

I think the past season had Padma doing the most, especially with many of the past contestants/winners showing up giving them more spiels to work on. Idk if it's the pandemic or what, but Tom and Gail are also probably shown less this season so I'm totally fine with the solo Padma submission this time. I mean last year, Padma deserved it alone for all the acting she did in the movie genre challenge
This August, we're celebrating Michelle and Ethan!

Is there any reason why RuPaul would not be nominated?

RuPaul winning #7 in a row is going to be hilarious (and deserving, let's be honest!)

It really feels like RuPaul will win this until the show ends or he doesn't submit.

Yup, I agree! This is his award until he is not nominated!

The only real chance that he could lose was to Alex Trebek for Jeopardy: Greatest of All Time had it been eligible for a Primetime Emmy

But at least the nominations here are more varied each year than the Competition category

And I can't imagine that happening.
