    Definitely think Polley is primed to be the woman who breaks through this year. Searchlight going full steam on Empire of Light despite its very crowded slate feels like a big confidence move. The other 3 are just obvious.

    Yeah, you could use Song Kang-ho's Best Actor win as justification for him getting an Oscar too, doesn't mean that's going to happen.

    Even if Park somehow managed to Pawel Pawlikowski himself into the category, he ain't winning. And with MUBI being the distributor? Good luck with that.
