Itís a very weird book and character but she will have plenty of range and a lot of big OTT scenes which I trust Lanthimos to do well. Also if it follows the book she will essentially play two versions of the character depending on POV.

Not yet but I will next week. My head says King will be their rather easy priority. I do wonder if Nyad will be out in time, hearing/seeing nothing on that front.

I hadn't realized it was in post production. I thought filming was yet to start with Jodie Foster joining the other day.

Casting announcements often happen long after someone has already been filming or even completed, even when an article says something like 'has joined the cast of...' It went into post about 10 days ago. That seems like enough time but it is Chin and Vasarhelyi's first feature so you never know. A lot less film to edit than a doc though.

Errr... Lady Gaga, Scarlett Johansson, Carey Mulligan and Kristen Stewart were (or at least, seemed to be) some frontrunners here.

Larson's main competition for Luminaoirse, not Rampling.

Yeah, Iím confused, the younger actresses have not been on this perfect streak of beating veteran actresses recently, and even if they were, thatís not necessarily an insurmountable disadvantage for Yeoh.
