The cast is fine...I haven't seen a film starring Aubrey Plaza since Ned Rifle so I have no big opinion on her. Looking forward to this film tho

Unfortunately never got around to the films you listed, Black Bear especially since I like Lawrence Michael Levine stuff. Terrible thing to say but part of the delay is probably because she's been working with directors with lower priority for me (Jeff Baena etc). I should get to some of those

This place is weird. Some people go crazy when it's announce some projects with some random actors from some random tv shows (because here most of the time everything revolves around the actors for some strange reason) and when one of the greatest directors in the history of the medium announces that for his latest project he's going to mortgage everything he's gotten in his life to carry out his decades-long dream, which brings in intentions the project closer to, I don't know, Apocalypse Now, than any shit that's looking for an Oscar nomination, some get with this disdain and even mockery.

Hey, I'm excited about this movie, especially since it's such a passion project for Coppola. People can be excited, and also complain about the cast you know? Especially since the first reports had a really strong cast, so we are allowed to be disappointed with the way cast has eventually turned out, but that doesn't mean we're against the project

Personally I think it's cool... it's the future, it doesn't have to look a certain way.

Yeah, I don't have a problem with the look either considering it'll probably be a highly stylised future. As long as the aesthetic is consistent.
