So GIANT FREAKIN ROBOT is indeed a very reliable source, eh?

This movie smells like a flop
Maybe like Brando for The Godfather this could be Shia's comeback?![]()
Zhang Ziyi said she was offered a role by Coppola but turned it down. She didn't mention Megalopolis but per the article some are speculating it is this movie.
https://sg.style.yahoo.com/zhang-ziy...034700026.htmlZhang Ziyi recently revealed that she was actually offered a role in Francis Ford Coppola's new movie, but decided to decline it.
As reported on Epoch Times, the actress, who sat down for an interview with Marie Claire recently, shared that "The Godfather" director wanted her in his movie, and that they even had communicated via video to discuss the project.
Zhang admitted that she was originally excited to do the movie as the opportunity to work with Coppola was something that an actor would cherish.
However, after reading the script, the actress said that she found that the role was unsuitable for her, and decided to turn down the project.
"I wouldn't imagine what I would be like today if I filmed this movie. But for me all misses are for the sake of finding more worthy characters," she added.
Though Zhang made no mention of the movie, some speculated that it could be the upcoming "Megalopolis", a passion project of Coppola's that stars Adam Driver, Forest Whitaker and Nathalie Emmanuel.
Good news about Shia, he is a great actor and I hope this time he really gets himself together. He seemed to get along well with Adam at the Variety round table.
Don't get why Coppola is okay with attracting bad press for such project. I can't see Shia's appeal, I always found him very limited and one-dimensional. No choice he makes in his performances ever surprise me. There's nothing remarkable about him. As for his all "I'm facing my demons", "I'll be a better person" interviews, I don't buy it. He used similar narrative during "Honey Boy" promotion and then we learned what he did to FKA Twigs. He had given enough of chances and he failed every time.
"I love the camera and it loves me. Well, not very much sometimes. But we're good friends"

I have no procedural knowledge of the allegations about Shia, I only know what is speculated on the internet and by people who love to explore cancel culture. He seems willing to change, admitted mistakes and may be on the right track. What do you want? Death penalty for his actions?
Furthermore, the kind of protection that some here give a person just because it's a woman is absurd. I'm a woman and I've been the victim of a lie told by a woman that almost crushed my career (and life). I judge stories for what they are, not because of the gender of those involved.

Maybe I am not commenting to much here lately and lost the moment this board became kinda of a twitter mob mentality branch?
I am sorry, folks, I usually give chances to people wanting to really change (depending of the actions, of course) and I don't believe women always say the truth. Are those mortal sins?![]()
