There is sex tape of them and he gets arrested, lots of slut shaming, especially from his love interest (I guess Nathalie's character). http://screenplaymovie.blogspot.com/...galopolis.html
I doubt this is still the plot. Emmanuel is only five years younger than Driver.

She plays a different character. This seems to have a huge cast, there are so many characters that still have to be announced, if the script is legit/has not been changed that much. This version that was uploaded in 2022 has 212 pages.

Emmanuel is supposed to be his love interest and the daughter of the Mayor (Julia), not the famous pop star who is 15 years old and called Vesta. She is jealous of Vesta and the attention she receives from Serge (Adam Driver)and when the sex tape leaks and Serge gets arrested, Julia tries to save Serge from going to jail for 'copulation with a minor', because his project/career is at stake.

I was happy for Nathalie but ugh if that script is legit.

Someone tell Mike Leigh that Adam Driver wants to work with him so hopefully he might get his latest movie made

The fact that L*onardo DiC*prio and his consistently bland choices in big-budget prestige movies with name directors is being compared to Driver's eclectic, unpredictable filmography...fix it Jesus.

LOL at the Coppola doubters. He released some incredible films in the last decades. I can’t wait for this one.

Basically his entire career, but I was referring to the two previous decades on that post. I’m yet to watch Tetro but Twixt and Youth Without Youth are best-of-the-decade material.

I preferred Youth but Tetro was good.

lmao at people here calling Twixt a good film. I could maybe give you Tecta (although I disagree) but Twixt was a mess

God, I'm sorry, but I really don't need Adam Driver in a Mike Leigh film. Kudos to him for being a fan too, though.

Has Leigh ever cast an American in a prominent role in one of his movies?

Hopefully Oscar-winner Olivia Colman or recent two-time nominee Sally Hawkins can end Leigh's hiatus between projects.

Now, there's casting which makes perfect sense.

This is what Coppola says the movie is about:
