Idk, to me this sounds like a GIANT flop that very likely won't even be good. I think Bale doing stuff like Ford v Ferrari and his DOR movies are way better bets than this and just generally solid movies. Mangold is a journeyman director but he's consistently pretty good. Don't know what's wrong with that

Bale doing the Mann Ferrari movie could've been really interesting and I really look forward to that movie, but that's more likely to flop than FvF which had the help of Damon, and Mann just hasn't been consistent in his last 3 movies (even tho I've liked them all).

So yeah, we've been assuming that Zendaya is playing Whitaker's daughter, with the Isaac character her love interest.
ugh. He definitely needs to cast a younger actor if Zendaya is definitely taking that role. Age gaps are pretty normal in hollywood films but considering pairing her with JDW got backlash pairing her with Christian Bale would be ridiculous. The girl's most popular roles are high school students.

Robert pattinson, Micahel B Jordan, Adam Driver, Dev Patel, Daniel Kaluuya, Andrew Garfield are probably more appropriate choices suggestions.

I've loved Bale performances in the past, but haven't bothered to see anything he's done since 2015. He's beyond set financially for the rest of his life unless there's something we're not aware of going on. Would much rather see him take artistic risks than do bland, disposable stuff that will do well with general audiences and make money. And I kinda doubt this will be bad, I've only seen Tetro of FFC's 21st century output, but it's pretty phenomenal and I want to do the other two. But even if you disagree with that, working with one of the most acclaimed directors of all time on what is very likely to be his final passion project is pretty easy to justify as a creative choice.

    Trace Adkins?!?!

Adam Driver is quickly approaching “extremely overexposed”, especially for someone who doesn’t have much range.

Mirren, Freeman, DeVito and Sarandon would make for a GREAT supporting cast. And this movie will need it if that's who is competing for the lead.

    That supposed sup cast

"And there on top of his head were faces like she had seen only in a dream, almost too beautiful to be recognized as people at all:
the most beautiful woman and the most beautiful man in the world, she the female version of him, and he the male version of her

The rumored supporting cast for this has always looked fun (except Jon Voight, ick): Blanchett, Pfeiffer, Lange, Whitaker and the names mentioned today. And I'm here for Zendaya as the female lead.

It's the names being floated for male lead that are tragique. I wasn't crazy about Oscar Isaac because I thought he was a little too old to be coupled with Z, but if they're actually considering Damon and Bale, omg bring him back!

Driver and Mirren working with FFC would be amazing.

I'm very excited that this young and exciting filmmaker has the opportunity to work with a true showbusiness legend like Danny De Vito this Coppola guy must feel very lucky to have that good fortune

Aren't Mirren and Sarandon replacing Lange and Pfeiffer?
