IMDB plot synopsis for this is now up, not sure of its accuracy.
Besides the last 4 words, that has been the synopsis for more than a decade, so I guess it's accurate (or it was before some rewritings).
It’s interesting as it really doesn’t match with the supposed leaked script.
I think the script review was posted in 2011, so there's plenty of room for the script to have been revised several times since then. That's not to say all the problematic stuff will be removed - Driver's filmography amply demonstrates that he has no qualms about playing morally reprehensible men.
I hope they lean into the Metropolis vibes - I love that film.

I don't know, but that synopsis about was the only info I have read for years about this project. I don't know if it was accurate, though.
Given that IMDB still has the Amy Schumer Barbie synopsis for Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie I'd say they aren't the most reliable for that info.
