I just don't see Gomez getting in at all. She was far worse this season than last time, and it's not like her performance was embraced by most awards bodies.

Depends how messy the HFPA would be, but if this were their old ways, nominating Selena and The Weeknd the same year for TV acting prizes is such a Globes catnip

Sure, but they didn't do it last time either, so why the sudden change?

Dame, this is subjective. Gomez definitely had more buzz this season. The season just ended.

Exactly. I see no reason why she couldn't get in. Tons of people get in for later seasons. I've also seen a lot of people say they preferred her this season, so its pure subjectivity.

Her performance definitely had buzz. TVLine even named her the Performer of the Week for E7. I wouldn't count her out.

Too bad the Emmys didn’t change their rules about foreign-language shows being eligible a year earlier, I definitely think Omar Sy could have gotten a nomination for season 1 with all of the hype, and I doubt this new season will match that.

He's probably done for the Golden Globes, but there are barely any reviews of the show, while it's popular among the general audience, so I'd say he's in for the Emmys.
