Great Mahler ranking, McTeague. The multiples of three have always been my favorite, followed by two and five. Have you heard Das Lied Von Der Erde? Maybe my very favorite piece of classical music.

I forgot to mention that last week I listened to this!

It's, indeed, gorgeous and moving and a masterpiece. I'd still rank it below symphonies 9, 3, 2 and 6... Maybe 5 too, I'm not sure. But I've only listened to it twice, so I can see it climbing on the ranking. Many thanks for the recommendation, illiterate me didn't know anything about it until you mentioned it. @t_w_ste
