On a separate topic, does anyone feel that the color in the Criterion's Three color trilogy RED is off compared to what we see on the big screen?
Criterion would handily beat MoC every time if it released as few films and had as small a back library. Which is why Criterion pretty much wins year to year.

Artificial Eye certainly does count. Great label.

Criterion "wins" more money, that's for sure. Those Mizoguchi DOUBLE-FEATURE Blus will likely cost less than $20 including the exchange rate, and with free international shipping if bought directly from Eureka.

No argument there. My point is that the newly announced titles from Criterion are underwhelming. On the other hand I will double or triple dip into some of the MOC releases they just announced.

March's Criterion line up is probably one of their best months ever, in my opinion.

TCM/Universal partnering for a Josef von Sternberg/Marlene Dietrich double feature: Shanghai Express and Dishonored...

Guess that means no Criterion Shanghai Express Blu Ray like was rumored. Still excited to get these two on video.

The above image is a 1/4th of the actual screen grab.

Awesome! I've been meaning to make a Criterion order for a replacement case and a t0-shirt, but now I'll be able to get some movies too! Though the only thing on my current wishlist is Belle du jour.

It's free shipping over $50, but I don't know about international.
