On Dec. 14, Kino Lorber will release THE FOUR SEASONS on Blu-ray. Yay! because I LOVE that movie but nay because I lack a Blu-ray player.

Yeah, shocked it never got a Blu-ray release.
It was on Amazon Prime for a while, at least.

Beautiful cover too.
forgive me for not providing a link but Shout Factory is releasing De Palma’s Femme Fatale, I believe later in March? I had just been searching last week to see if there was ever a Blu-ray so this is great news.

I got Singin' in the Rain on 4K and it is just a world of difference compared to how I've been watching it for years, AKA a taped VHS from the 90s when it was on telly one night. Great restoration. The colours have a whole new vibrance, looks amazing.
Wash your hands, please.
I didn't know where else to ask this question. My new 24" LED TV doesn't have enough inputs in order to accommodate my blu-ray player and cable box. Would I be better off buying an HDMI adapter or a switch?
If the answer is an adapter, what kind should it be? Male-to-female, perhaps? This is very complicated, guys. I know as little about electronics as quantum physics.![]()
I got a switch for my old TV, in part because I needed to be able to accommodate so many additional ports at the time and in part because it was the easier solution to wrap my head around. It worked great and I never had any reason to think an adapter would've been more suitable. My caveat is that I have no technical know-how of why one might be better than the other, so I can't give you a definitive "this is the better choice."
I really appreciate the response! Your post gives me hope. A switch sounds like the way to go because I was told by a customer service person from LG (the manufacturer of my TV and blu-ray player) adapters don't always work.
I intended to ask about a switch but this guy was so pessimistic. He said the only option for me was to disconnect the cable box and use its port for the blu-ray player when I want to watch a film. That sounded impractical and prehistoric. There must be a better way. Perhaps I spoke to someone who doesn't know their ass from their elbow. It happens.![]()
Since a switch worked for you, I've no reason to think it won't for me as well.
Thanks again!![]()
If anyone had told me in college that one day the Marcel the Shell shorts would be on a 4K physical release, I first would've asked what 4K was, and second died laughing. But it's happening! And it's so exciting!!
YES!!!![]()
The only Cameron movie I've seen once, because I remember loving it (the theatrical version) on VHS as a kid (probably my second Cameron movie after Titanic?) but kept holding off on a re-watch because I wanted to see it in a higher quality than 480p. Very excited to finally revisit it.
The Way of Water this week, Titanic theatrical re-release in February, and this in March...Cameron heads are eating good over the next few months.
